Home cooked food is available both luchtimes and evenings, either in the bar or in our separate dining room which can seat 22 in comfort.

At The Bird In Hand we strive to use local produce as much as possible.

The menu caters for all tastes, from filled baguettes to Oven Roasted Rainbow Trout.

                                                 

The well-stocked bar is open all day. Using local breweries, we aim to promote the excellent real ales available in Somerset.  Local cider from Thatchers is also on tap.  If a glass of wine is your tipple, a choice is available from our own wine list.                                                              

If you require accommodation, by working together with other businesses in the village, we are happy to recommend a number of Bed and Breakfasts. Please contact us and we will be happy to pass on their details. We are home to Bishops Lydeard's only skittle alley.

 

Our location at the foot of the Quantock Hills brings many mountain bikers to our door in order to relax at the end of a hard days biking.
